Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen was raised near Seattle, Washington. Although originally planning to be a chef, she discovered her passion for modeling at a young age. Chrissy started her career as a swimsuit model and has since moved on to working with major labels all over the world.

Chrissy has caught the eye of many photographers; in particular, Walter Iooss and Raphael Mazzuco. Both photographers shot Chrissy for the prestigious Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which she has been featured in multiple times. In addition to Sports Illustrated, Chrissy has appeared in Italian Vogue, Esquire, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and the cover of Ocean Drive Magazine. Most recently, Chrissy was featured as one of the “Hot Celebrity Bodies of 2012” in Us Weekly.

Chrissy has been the face of various brands throughout her career. Most recently, she starred in Nine West Fashion Targets Breast Cancer alongside Carolyn Murphy, shot by Nigel Barker. She is currently part of the Skullcandy Headphones Supermodel campaign and Beach Bunny Swimwear campaign, and has worked with Gillette Venus & Olay, Billabong, Rock and Republic, Nike and Ed Hardy.

Chrissy enjoys a burgeoning television career, as well. She recently hosted a special on the Cooking Channel, entitled “Cookies and Cocktails” and has an upcoming pilot with the network. She has also served as a recurring guest host, contributor and/or correspondent on E! Entertainment, TMZ, MTV, FUSE/MSG and EXTRA with Mario Lopez, and has also appeared on the CW’s “Americas Next Top Model” and Bravo’s, “Watch What Happens Live”. In March 2013, she will debut as host of the new reality competition show, “Model Employee” on VH1.

Other side projects included designing a capsule collection with swimwear designer DiNeila Brazil (which debuted at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami) and appearing as a featured character in the 2011 EA Sports Video Game Need For Speed: The Run.

When not working in the world of high fashion modeling, Chrissy is a talented cook and writer (she is the author of the blog, sodelushious.com) and enjoys expanding her knowledge of food while traveling the world.
